The long-serving Newcastle Jets defender loves proving doubters wrong and there will be a feeling of satisfaction when she steps out onto McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday for her 100th W-League appearance.
The 26-year-old reaches an exclusive club in doing so with only 16 players to have achieved the feat ahead of her since the league began in 2008-09. One of those, and the only other Jet to reach the mark, is teammate Gema Simon.
With only 12 regular-season matches each W-League season, notching 100 games is not easy and reaching the milestone moment has not been without testing times for Brewer.
"I had a few tough seasons there where I didn't play much and I took a season off when my nan passed away and spent it with the family, so 100 games has felt like a long time coming," Brewer said.
"It's been twelve years in the league, but it's here and I'm excited and I wouldn't want to be celebrating it with any other club or bunch of girls."

Brewer was 15 when signed by the Jets for the inaugural W-League in a squad including Cheryl Salisbury, Joey Peters and Kate Gill. It was one of two seasons in which Newcastle have made finals and Brewer has been on board for both occasions.
The second finals appearance came in 2017-18 along with one of Brewer's fondest W-League moments: scoring a sole career goal.
"One goal in 100 games, I was absolutely cheering about that," Brewer said.
But it was a season that galvanised the core of the Newcastle team today that stands out.
"Another highlight which many wouldn't think of was a season when we didn't win any games" Brewer said.
"We got one point that season, but for the girls to stay as a collective group and still turn up to training happy and willing to be there and still determined to win, that was a highlight.
"It was just the overall positivity of the group. It really taught me never to give up and that results at times don't matter ... just to be around a bunch of girls like that really inspired me. The core of that group are the leaders here now."
They include Tara Andrews, Claire Coelho, Libby Copus-Brown, Cassidy Davis, Sophie Nenadovic, Clare Wheeler and Simon.
In 99 W-League appearances, 72 have been for Newcastle. Brewer, who hails from the Central Coast, left the Jets to pursue her football with Melbourne Victory in 2014. She played one game for Melbourne City the following season then had a stint with Canberra United in 2016-17 before returning to her "second home".
Reaching the 100 mark has been in her sights for some time and motivated by being told she would never make it.
"It was probably a few seasons in when I had a few harsh experiences and some people, coaches in the past, telling me that I probably shouldn't be playing," Brewer said.
"It wasn't nice to hear but for a player like me, who is quite driven by that, it pushed me. It probably come around then that I really wanted to reach the 100 and prove them wrong. I wanted to do it for myself but also to prove a point."
Now the moment is here, Brewer, who has three caps for the Matildas, intends to make the most of it with a strong showing against Canberra in front of what she hopes will be a large and vocal Newcastle crowd.
"I'm super excited to be playing my 100th in front of a home crowd," she said.
"My family will be there, friends will be there and I'll be playing with a bunch of girls that are like no other."
The W-League Jets have opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Melbourne City and a 1-0 loss to Western Sydney while Canberra have won and lost.
A win will propel them ahead of Canberra on the competition ladder but a loss will leave them five points behind.
"We were super happy with our performance against Melbourne City and stoked with the result," Brewer said.
"We took a lot of positives from that game. Our match against Western Sydney was tough ... I think there were a few factors in that game but we're raring to go this weekend.
"Canberra will be tough. They're always fit and they've got [Katie] Stengel up front who holds the ball up well and is a great striker and they've got a good international as a number ten.
"She'll be tough to mark but our defence has been brilliant so far all over the park. But we'll need to bring our A game and be better than what we delivered last Friday night [against Western Sydney]."
The match kicks off at 4.30pm and is part of a Jets double-header. Newcastle play Wanderers in A-League at 7.30pm.
