The Wanderers announced on Thursday they had signed the 22-year-old, who had a break-out W-League season with her home-town club in 2019-20.
After fives years as a fringe player in the Jets squad, Copus-Brown was one of Newcastle's most consistent last season in a campaign where she became a starting player.
She played alongside long-serving Jets Cassidy Davis and Tara Andrews in National Premier League NSW Women's this year for championship-winning team Manly.
The news of her departure came two days after long-serving Jets striker Jenna Kingsley announced her retirement following 87 appearances in the W-League and 61 games in Newcastle colours.
Strikers Nicki Flannery (Canberra) and Teigan Collister (Western Sydney) have signed with other clubs and midfielder Clare Wheeler has joined Sydney.
Paige Kingston-Hogg, who also plays in the midfield, will miss this season through injury.
The Jets, who collected the wooden spoon in 2019-20, are scheduled to start pre-season training on November 16 with coach Ash Wilson expected to unveil her 18-player squad next week.
The W-League kicks off on December 27.
