APS6 Senior Business Analyst

Your new company
Hays Technology have partnered with a large Federal Government Department. We are seeking multiple APS6 Senior Business Analysts to join a large transformation project. This role will be based in Brisbane CBD and will offer two days work from home. This role has been created as a part of a major upgrade to the deliver of the departments delivery of high-quality service to the community.

This role has an expected start date in July 2022 with applications being shortlisted on Thursday 7th January 2022.

Your new role
In this role you will be working with a large project team based locally in Brisbane, and with other major hubs across Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. You will be responsible for delivering high level business requirements that capture the businesses needs during the project.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Assist in defining and clarifying business needs to contribute to the creation of action plans, solution reports and business cases
• Liaise with stakeholders, facilitate workshops, gather and analyse their requirement needs
• Conduct business analysis approach that may include specifying team roles, deliverables, analysis techniques or stakeholder communication.
• Identify potential business needs to recommend improvements for consideration by senior staff and provide analysis, verification and validation on the recommended improvements
• Conduct stakeholder analysis to assist in engaging with stakeholders to effectively understand cross business functions
• Assist with managing requirements and communication through scope, traceability and maintenance

What you need to succeed

• Previous experience as a Senior Business Analyst within diverse organisations
• Previous experience and ability to communicate effectively and adapt communication style appropriate to the audience
• Perform strong research, analysis, apply creativity and problem solve
• Build and develop internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Collaborate with other staff in immediate work area and in other areas of the agency
• Facilitate groups, workshops and meetings

Certifications in SAFe Agile and BABOK would be highly advantageous
