Design Engineer - Rail

Design Engineers needed to work on an exciting new Rail project for a high-profile tier 1 rail company based in Newcastle!
 
This is an ASAP start, paying above market rates due to the urgency of this role!
 
You will be an integral part of a key repair and rebuild of a diesel passenger power car project.  This is a contract role supporting the team for at least 4 months, however there is potential for a longer term role should successful candidates be the right fit.
 
To be considered, you must have had design experience within Rail (Locomotive or Infrastructure) or heavy fabrication industry as you will be responsible for development and detail design of rail rollingstock Mechanical, Structural or Electrical elements in conjunction with engineering team leaders.
 
As well as the above, you must also have:

• Design/Engineering qualifications or equivalent
• Experience in the detail design and integration of systems
• Experience using computer aided engineering & modelling software - Catia or NX will be highly regarded.
• Have full and unrestricted work rights in Australia – No sponsorship is available with this role
