Get together a team of students to create a two-page newspaper for the Herald. We recommend teams of around 10-15 students, however there are no set rules. Some schools opt to allocate the project to one class; some form their editorial team from GATS or special-interest students; some allocate individual stories to classes throughout the school. Whatever works for your school and your students is fine.
What you'll need to do
The competition requires teams of students to fill two Herald pages with news stories, photographs, an editorial opinion and accompanying cartoon, masthead and advertisement designed for the competition sponsor the Newcastle Permanent Building Society.
