Bosnich, who played for Aston Villa, Manchester United and Chelsea in the English Premier League, was due to appear in the Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday.
The incident, described by police as a "minor accident", occurred on May 21.
The case was adjourned to December 3 to allow Bosnich's lawyers to negotiate with police prosecutors.
The 42-year-old has been charged with driving recklessly or furiously or at a dangerous speed.
Bosnich currently appears on pay TV channel Fox Sports as a football analyst.
He told Fairfax Media "It's in the hands of the lawyers, that's all I can say".
