IT’S a sad indictment on our system of law enforcement and justice when a long-serving cop such as Peter Fox is forced out of his job after acting as his conscience dictated.
It now appears that if you can work your way to the top of any religious or government institution, then you become virtually untouchable.
Common sense poses a question here. What is the use of a special commission of inquiry where sufficient evidence is discovered to hold an individual to account, but no action is taken?
It seems these institutions are too busy looking after themselves to worry about protecting the most vulnerable. That is, the victims of the paedophile priests and a man with the courage to blow the whistle on the whole disgusting saga.
