
POLICE have issued a COMFIT image of a man wanted over an attack in a Woodberry backyard earlier this month.
Central Hunter police said a 55-year-old man was in the rear yard of his Kingstown Road home about 6pm on November 1 when he noticed a man armed with a knife.
Police have been told the man asked for drugs, before he attacked the man with the knife.
The armed man then fled the scene.
The injured man suffered a cut to his arm, which required stitches.
Police have released a COMFIT image of a man who may be able to assist them.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 21-25 years old, with pale skin, half of his left eye brow shaved, and has a black "button" style earring in his right earlobe.
He was also seen with two tattoos – one on the left-hand-side of his neck featuring lettering and another with lettering and another featuring a large spider web on his right leg.
The man was wearing a grey hooded jacket and grey knee-length shorts.
