Thousands filled seats and picnic blankets for The History of The Eagles Live in Concert tour stop in the Hunter Valley.
Kurri Kurri musician Melody Pool kicked off the entertainment for the afternoon.
Her country-folk style meshed well with the crowd, many of whom enjoyed a lazy afternoon of wining and dining.
Next up was country music star Kasey Chambers, who not only had the crowd singing along, but laughing at the token insights she gave into her life and, in particular, her family.
She also shared her admiration for The Eagles stating she was excited when she got the call to support the band on tour.
The audience joined the band as they took a stroll down memory lane.
Don Henley and Glenn Frey opened the show and slowly introduced band members throughout the first six songs.
Henley, Joe Walsh, bassist Timothy B Schmit and Glenn Frey all told their stories throughout the show, which cased tracks from the full catalogue up to the record Hell Freezes Over.
The show also included nostalgic videos of the band members recalling their time in the lime light.
Bernie Leadon appeared on stage and the original band member received a huge cheer from the crowd.
But past band members Don Felder and Randy Meissner were brushed over in this retelling of the group’s history.
Crowd favourites were the renditions of Witchy Woman, Hotel California, Take it Easy and the finishing act Desperado.
With a simple bow, the band left the stage and fans were satisfied with the almost three hour-long musical trip they had just taken.
