HUNDREDS of Pokefans will gather together in Newcastle tonight to claim some territory and catch Pokemon.
A Pokemon GO walk has been organised by The Empire Coffee Co and has nearly 1500 people registered to attend the event on Facebook.
Pokefans will start at the Empire Coffee Co to fuel up with a hot drink and snack before heading off on a guided tour around town to catch Pokemon.
The two and a half hour walk follows many other held across the state with the most recent on Sunday in Sydney, luring in nearly 1000 Pokefans.
The event starts at 6.30pm but the Herald will give eager players a chance to catch a few more Pokemon a bit earlier, setting off a lure at the Red Robot Pokestop from about 5.30pm.
We also have two double passes to Event Cinemas to give away. To win a free tip to the movies, share a photo of your catch with the Newcastle Herald via Facebook or by emailing news@theherald.com.au.
Good luck and happy hunting.
