The colourful logo is accompanied by the tag line ‘‘See Change’’ and a marketing campaign that will promote it through tourism websites, brochures and signage.
New information kiosks have also been launched and are now running at 16 locations across Newcastle, including The Newcastle Herald’s office in Bolton Street.
Newcastle City Council’s Tourism and Economic Development Manager Simon McArthur said the new brand would greatly help to reinvigorate the image of Newcastle.
“This brand will provide an opportunity to consistently promote the city for what it is today – a genuine, ever-changing, vibrant and energetic place that is home to hardworking people and world-class industries.”
