Workers began dismantling scaffolding on Wednesday, with the full extent of restored sandstone facade expected to be visible on the eastern side by mid December. Work on the southern side of city hall is ongoing and is due to be complete in April.
Restoration of the building’s western side will start early next year. It comes after work on the clock tower was completed last year. Stone Mason and Artist Pty Ltd, the firm that performed the clock tower restoration, is completing the ongoing work.
