It is known as millionaire’s row and homes are tightly held there but a new listing on Whitebridge’s exclusive Burwood Road means there are three on offer at the moment.
No.65 hit the market on January 11.
The striking eight-year-old residence is being marketed by Suzanne Hill of Century 21 Carkeet Johns Smith and will be taken to auction on February 10 with a price guide of $1.5 million to $1.65 million.
Ms Hill said 15 groups attended the first inspection last weekend and another open home was scheduled for January 20 at midday.
The home enjoys extensive ocean and coastal views and is being sold for the first time.
It enjoys a split-level design over three levels and features a downstairs rumpus with bar which extends to covered entertaining and a solar-heated saltwater pool complete with cabana.
“Everything is light, bright and modern,” Ms Hill said.
“There is a fabulous rumpus and built-in bar area which joins an alfresco area and it all overlooks the pool. It’s a real lifestyle location.”
Already on the market on Burwood Road are No.19, which is a seven-bedroom, five-bathroom home on nearly 10,000 square metres being marketed through McGrath Estate Agents for $2.9 million.
Ray White Newcastle Lake Macquarie are selling No.27.
Fern Bay Find
Fern Bay’s Paperbark Court proved popular last year with four registered sales in 2017.
A suburb record was set when Lucas Gresham, of Dowling Real Estate Wallsend, sold No.19 for $920,000.
He has just listed No.4, which is set for a February 17 auction and has a price guide range of $800,000 to $850,000.
Mr Gresham said interest in Fern Bay continued to grow and described this particular house as “big bang for dollars”.
“Homes in the inner city of Newcastle are becoming really quite expense and properties in the outer suburbs, 20 minutes away, are reaching pretty solid numbers,” Mr Gresham said.
“You may as well pay the same, get a new home and be on the coast.”

NEW DEVELOPMENT
Another development in Adamstown has been launched with Cube@79 hitting the market through the week.
PRDnationwide Newcastle Lake Macquarie are marketing the Teralba Road development of six terrace-style homes.
Each home comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms, private alfresco spaces, garaging for one vehicle as well as additional off-street parking.
Last month PRDnationwide unveiled The Foundry, a $46 million apartment development in Adamstown between Brunker Road and Date Street and comprising 84 residences.
BAR BEACH BLOCK

Vacant land with ocean views in Bar Beach is hard to come by and interest is expected to be strong for 50 Memorial Drive, which is being sold through expressions of interest.
The 409 square metre block is part of a subdivision of a 1230 square metre piece of land which was bought by Grand Designs Property director Carlo Rossi in 2016.
He listed 1A Fenton Avenue for sale last year but at the auction instead ended up selling 52 Memorial Drive for $1.72 million to a bidder keen for that block of 406 square metres.
He has since taken Fenton Avenue off the market and is now seeing what interest there is for 50 Memorial Drive, which Mr Rossi said was a better block.
It has a 25-metre frontage, is a corner block and has water views which cannot be obstructed.
The property is being marketed through PRDnationwide Newcastle Lake Macquarie.
