It enjoys a central position in the city of Newcastle within 10 minutes’ drive of the CBD and some of the best beaches on offer.
New Lambton is close to John Hunter Hospital and moments to the University of Newcastle.
Prices of homes in the area have been steadily rising and, according to Australian Property Monitors, the median sale price has risen from $470,000 in 2013 to close to $700,000 last year.

McDonald Jones Stadium is positioned at the north-eastern corner of the suburb.
Just five minutes away is Westfield Kotara shopping centre, which is undergoing a major renovation. New Lambton also features shopping villages in Regent Street and Orchardtown Road.
Nearly one-third of the suburb is taken up by Blackbutt Reserve, a 182-hectare nature reserve with peaceful walking trails and a wildlife sanctuary. There are several sports fields and Fernleigh Track cycleway is nearby.
