Outteridge wins moth champs
BACK on home waters at Wangi, and back to his best foiling form, Nathan Outteridge won the recent 2018 Australian Moth Championships against a star-studded fleet. He pipped close America’s Cup mates Tom Slingsby and Iain Jensen, with former world champion Josh McKnight finishing fourth.
Earlier, the club also staged the Australian A-class nationals, which was won with a late dash by Glenn Ashby ahead of class legend Steve Brewin. Outteridge missed the last podium spot by one point.
The sailing waters bounded by Wangi Point, Fishing Point, Coal Point were ideal for foiling.
