Newcastle’s former MKR contestants Anthony "Cookie" Cook and Chris Norgard were on hand at a parent support program in Fletcher on Tuesday cooking up their best meals for parents and their children.
Funded by Carers NSW, the one-off holiday program was designed to help parents whose children are involved in the MyTime peer support program of Playgroup NSW.
MyTime supports parents of children with disabilities and is funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. Families from three programs that operate in the Hunter at Woodberry Public School, Anna Bay Public School and Irrawang Public School were in attendance.
Parents were given a range of cooking lessons with the MKR pair and international meals were the theme of the day.
