FORMER Olyroos midfielder Devante Clut has parted ways with the Newcastle Jets.
Clut, who is off contract, has played just 64 minutes in five appearances this season and is not a part of Ernie Merrick’s plans for next season.
The play-maker’s only start was against Brisbane Roar in round 16 in which he was replaced by Pato Rodriguez at half-time.
With Rodriguez now playing regularly, combined with the arrival of Riley McGree and the likely return of Ronny Vargas, Clut was unlikely to get many opportunities.
Keen for game time, the 22-year-old attacker, who is from Sydney, is set to join a NSW Premier League club.
Clut joined the Jets at the start of the 2016-17 campaign from the Brisbane Roar, where he made 16 appearances in two seasons, highlighted by a spectacular volley on debut.
He played 18 games, mainly off the bench, in his first year at Newcastle.
