This is why we welcomed the government’s announcement that they are producing a business case to examine ways to reduce the train travel time between Newcastle and Sydney.
This reiterated the Property Council’s responses to the state government Greater Newcastle Metropolitan Plan and the Greater Newcastle Future Transport Plan, in which we called on greater investment in infrastructure to support increased development in the region.
With all its attractions, including its own university and proximity to Sydney, Newcastle is in a prime position to continue to grow as a showcase regional city in Australia.
