A three-month-old baby was among several people involved in a two-car crash on the Pacific Highway.
Emergency crews responded to the accident at Nabiac on the mid North Coast on Tuesday afternoon.
Three paramedic crews and a helicopter were on scene treating the baby, a 10-year-old child, a 35-year-old woman and another person believed to be 25.
The woman in her 20s has suspected chest and pelvis injuries. The baby is still being assessed.
All patients will be airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
One of the two southbound lanes of the highway was closed, but the accident has since been cleared. Traffic was still heavy southbound at 2pm, drivers have been asked to allow extra travel time as delays ease.
