Around 80 talented secondary swimmers recently headed to the Sydney Aquatic Centre at Homebush for the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges Swimming Championships.
Billy Moody from St Catherine’s Singleton was outstanding, breaking the record in the 13yrs 50m fly with a time of 28.75. He also made it through to NSW All Schools for the 100m and 200m fly.
Logan Heald from Lochinvar was named the age champion in the 16+ multi-class category and qualified for the 50m free, breast, back, fly and 100m free & back.
Percy Sinclair from San Clemente Mayfield had a fabulous meet winning gold in the 50m fly and 100m free, silver in the 50m free and bronze in the 50m breast. Joel Lucas from All Saints College won the 15-16 yrs 100m back. He also qualified for the 200m IM, 50m back and 400m IM.

Others to qualify for NSW All Schools include Jack Curran (Hamilton) for 200m and 400m free; Thomas Dever (Adamstown) for 50m breast; Zara Foran (Gateshead) for 50m fly, back and 100m free; Charli Greedy for 200m breast, fly, IM, 400m IM and free; Isabella Hawke (Hamilton) for 50m and 100m breast; Cheyanne Murray (Lochinvar) 50m breast; Xanthe Rheinberger (Adamstown) 50m free; Emily Rowell (Taree) 50m back; Alice Small 50m breast; and Nash Wilkes for IM, 200m, 100m and 50m breast.
There was also success in the relays with St Francis Xavier’s Hamilton senior girls finishing 3rd in the medley relay and All Saints College Maitland 2nd in the 15-16yrs boys medley relay and 3rd in the 15-16 yrs freestyle relay.
