Police are investigating an armed robbery at the University of Newcastle on Thursday night.

About 8.20pm an 18-year-old man was walking in the grounds of the university, towards Warabrook Railway Station at Warabrook, when he was approached by a man and woman.
They engaged the man in conversation before the male produced a small knife and demanded his wallet and mobile phone.
They then took the man to an ATM where he withdrew an amount of cash and handed it to the offenders, who were last seen walking out of the university on University Drive.
The victim was uninjured and police are investigating.
The male offender has been described as aged in his late 30s or early 40s, solid build, with short hair and a beard.
The female offender has been described as being aged in her late 20s to early 30s, with dark hair, and wearing a dark coloured hoodie.
