A home set for auction in Redhead on Saturday could be the first to break $1 million for Elsdon Street.
Century 21’s Dean Pinter is marketing No.68 with a guide of $1.295 million to $1.395 million.
The five-bedroom home, designed over two levels to maximise space, air flow and natural light, will go to auction on site at 11.15am.
It was built seven years ago with the owners wanting to create a home that felt like “luxury resort-style living” all of the time.
Mr Pinter said there had been early interest for the home, all local.

‘AFFORDABLE’ ON THE WATERFRONT
LJ Hooker’s Mark Campbell reported “good, solid interest” for an “original” waterfront home at 67 Fishing Point Road in Rathmines.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home with jetty, boatshed and covered entertaining deck complete with spa is set for an in-room auction at the Warners Bay office next Thursday night.
“It’s a lovely protected bay in a beautiful north-easterly spot and you can walk into Rathmines from there,” Mr Campbell said. “It’s an original cottage but very well presented. It’s been modernised and it could be a potential holiday home or a residence.
“The western side of the lake is still accessible. We sold a home in Valentine recently that was an old brick knockdown for $2.5 million. This will be lucky to be a million and something.”

He also has a “showpiece” home at 122 Clydebank Road, Buttaba set for auction on July 5.
The two-storey home is around six years old and features a French provincial-style kitchen, five bedrooms, multiple living spaces and a “breathtaking” outdoor set-up complete with outdoor kitchen, built-in barbecue and open fireplace.
A price guide has not been disclosed but it has potential to set a record for a non-waterfront home.
