A woman has been charged with reckless driving and an expired licence after a pursuit in Lake Macquarie overnight.
Just before 1.30am Saturday police attempted to stop a Subaru Liberty on Lake Road at Glendale, for a random breath test.
The vehicle failed to stop, allegedly accelerating harshly and a pursuit was initiated.
A short time later, the pursuit was terminated in Boolaroo.
Just after 3.30am, officers attended a home on Quarry Street at Speers Point and located the Subaru.
A 28-year-old woman was spoken to by police, before being arrested.
She was taken to Waratah Police Station and charged with police pursuit - not stop - drive recklessly, and licence expired 2 years or more.
The woman was granted conditional bail to appear at Toronto Local Court on Tuesday July 17.
