Sydney Trains have recorded the worst on-time running figures for peak hour trains since the introduction of the new timetable late last year, new data suggests.

Internal transport documents show trains were late or skipped stations for 79 per cent of the time last month, according to Labor NSW.
"Things are just getting consistently worse for Sydney commuters who suffer delays and trains that simply don't turn up," Oppoition transport spokeswoman Jodi McKay said in a statement on Wednesday, accusing the state government of failing to properly resource the train network.
In May, Sydney Trains achieved its target of 92 per cent on-time running on just 10-of-23 weekdays, the figures show.
Ms McKay said Transport Minister Andrew Constance had failed to 'tweak' changes to improve services for commuters since the introduction of new timetable last November.
Ms McKay said the Berejiklian government has continually failed to properly resource Sydney Trains and recruit train drivers, with a net loss of 141 staff since the Liberals took power in 2011 up to January 2017.
