Allambi   is a not-for-profit organisation providing foster care, disability support services, family support programs, adolescent counselling, education/leadership programs, homeless support services and residential care throughout Newcastle/Hunter and Lake Macquarie.

In 1981 Allambi began as a youth refuge in Redhead supporting children, young people who are at risk of homelessness as well as their families. This work continues today. Allambi has continued to grow and develop programs over many years to meet many individual needs within the community.

Allambi has grown to support over 1200 individuals within Newcastle and Lake Macquarie annually throughout all services. Allambi directly supports over 215 families each year to prevent homelessness, reduce domestic violence as well as increase links to support networks.

Allambi has a simple philosophy; that all who are connected to the organisation, be they clients, staff or carers, they all form part of the Allambi Family. Allambi’s programs support the vulnerable in the community by providing them with access to the services and care required to reach their potential. Allambi believe that in each person there is tremendous potential and that with the right support, they can achieve anything.
