BEACHWATCH
Small and clean and not quite big enough to break on the outside banks. Waves to be scarce as the tide fills towards mid day and looks like no improvement in the shorebreaks. Swell from the S/E at 0.5 to 1m. Winds light and variable West to S/W tending S/E during the afternoon. Tides going low for the early with only a few spots locally with Bar Beach the better option. Try Cowrie on the high tide. Redhead, Moonie and Fraser to the south. Birubi and Samurai up at Port Stephens. Fresh in for a swim with a cold current about. Crystal clear water and beaches sanded up. Nobbys, Bar Beach and Merewether are patrolled. Water temp 14C. ā Dave Anderson
