Now the third annual Against The Grain festival in Brisbane has announced a line-up with a decidedly strong Novocastrian flavour.
Newcastle indie bands Vacations and Skivvy Season, which features two parts of Raave Tapes, will perform at the November 3 festival, as well as local acts Fritz and Grace Turner.
Skivvy Season are expected to drop their debut single before Against The Grain.
We’re also hearing a 12-seater “rock’n’roll” bus could be hired to make the trek north up the Pacific Highway.
Against The Grain will be headlined by Melbourne post-punk revivalists City Calm Down and also features Tiny Little Houses, Maddy Jane and Sweater Curse.
