The dreamy and sultry slice of indie, blues and folk has been warmly received since its release on July 30, and has even caught the attention of Quebec-based French Canadian news outlet, Le Devoir.

DAFT MOVE Tribute shows are generally the domain of baby boomers, but even the Gen-Y crowd are gearing up for some nostalgia. Discovery, Australia’s Daft Punk tribute act are coming to the Cambridge Hotel on September 2 to play many of the French electro juggernaut’s bangers like Get Lucky, One More Time and Around The World.
COAST TRIP If you want to see chilled Sydney rockers Ocean Alley, you’ll need to make a road trip to the Central Coast. The Comedown band are playing two shows on October 4 and 5 at Terrigal’s The Beery and the first date is already sold out.
SWEET Sydney brothers Louis and Oli Leimbach, better known as Lime Cordiale, will perform at the Cambridge Hotel on November 23 on their national Dirt Cheap tour.
CARRYING ON Brisbane post-hardcore band Awaken I Am have announced a Small Ballroom gig on October 25, just three months after the death of guitarist Connor Verner-Oakley in an “accident.” US rock band Picturesque will join Awaken I Am on tour.
BEST OF Folk-pop favourite Bob Evans, aka Jebediah frontman Kevin Mitchell, has announced plans to release his greatest hits on October 5, entitled Full Circle. Evans has also recorded a new track Drowning for the compilation. No news yet on an Newcastle tour date, but stay tuned.
