Majurovski, named player of the match, scored with a header in the 25^th minute and helped force an own goal in the 38^th to put Magic in control at half-time.

Bradbery started celebrations early with a class strike in injury time.

It was Magic’s first grand final win since 2013 and helped erase the memory of their 2016 loss to Edgeworth.

It was the Eagles’ fourth consecutive grand final and second straight defeat after losing in extra time to Lambton Jaffas in 2017. 

In front of 3722 fans, Magic threatened early and went close in the 12^th minute when Bradbery’s shot was smothered at close range after Sam Maxwell missed a clearance kick.

Broadmeadow midfielder Justin Broadley hit his shot over the crossbar in the 16^th and Edgeworth went close a minute later when Paul Bitz made a diving save off an Adam Cawley free kick.

Majurovski, 35, threatened with a header off a corner in the 19^th minute, hitting the crossbar, but he made no mistake in the 25^th.

James Virgili provided a powerful, low cross and Majurovski scored with a lunging header from close range.

A stinging shot from Majurovski was denied by a diving save from Josh Low in the 29^th minute and the veteran was involved again as Magic made it 2-0.

Mitch Oxborrow provided the cross and Majurovski’s off-target touch went in off the legs of Eagles defender Josh Rose. 

Edgeworth needed a goal early in the second half but Will Bower (46th) and Rose (63rd) were wide with chances.

Big-game specialist Daniel McBreen, 41, came in the 66^th minute to the cheers of Edgeworth supporters. The Central Coast Mariners and Edgeworth grand final man of the match was off a plane at 4am Saturday morning after a stint as assistant coach of Guam, a role which ruled him out of the semi-finals.

But injuries to Dom Bizzarri and Tyson Jackson hurt the Eagles’ cause in the second half. 

Rose was across the face of goal with a shot in the 79^th but that was the closest the Eagles came to testing Magic.

Bradbery then struck in injury time to cap a stellar personal performance. 

With centre-back Jon Griffiths suspended, Magic opted for an attacking replacement. They started midfielder Cody Carroll, moved Luke Virgili in to centre-back and Shane Paul to left-back. The match was Paul’s last for Magic and his third grand final win in four appearances for the club.

Edgeworth moved Bizzarri to left-back to mark James Virgili, Rose in to centre-back and Pat Wheeler forward to screen the back four. The Eagles also opted for forward Bower over Jose Atayde.
