The pair were selected in the squad last week after a series of training camps overseen by Joeys head coach Trevor Morgan.
Australia qualified for the AFC Under 16 Championship after topping Group I of the qualification process in Mongolia last September.
The Joeys finished ahead of Vietnam, Cambodia and Mongolia. Zervas and Benson are part of a 23-man squad predominately made up of players who are aligned with A-League clubs.
“I am very excited about the quality in the squad,” Morgan said.
“Competition for inclusion in the starting line-up will be strong, as we have two players for every position but also several who can play two or three.”
The Joeys will travel to Kuala Lumpur for a pre-tournament camp before playing their first match against Korea Republic on September 22.
Matches against Iraq and Afghanistan will follow.
To qualify as one of Asia’s representatives for the 2019 FIFA Under 17 World Cup in Peru, Australia must reach at least the semi-finals.
