Management of The Argyle House, on the corner of Argyle Street and Wharf Road, lodged an application with Newcastle City Council on September 5 to push the venue’s Sunday night closing time back from 10pm to midnight.
If council approves the change, the business will then be able to apply for a variation of its liquor licence.
Owners of The Argyle House did not want to comment on the application when contacted by the Newcastle Herald on Wednesday.
