The family and friends of Australian model Sinead McNamara have paid their final respects at a funeral for the 20-year-old who died after being found tangled in rope at the stern of a billionaire's superyacht in Greece.

The Instagram influencer from NSW was unable to be revived after she was discovered on the Mayan Queen IV, on August 31, while the vessel was moored in the port of Argostoli off the Greek island of Kefalonia.
Ms McNamara had been working as a crew member on the six-storey vessel, valued at about $US140 million ($A196 million) and owned by billionaire Mexican mining magnate Alberto Bailleres.
She could not be revived while en route to hospital, and died hours before she was due to see family members.
In a post to her own Facebook page on August 26, Ms McNamara said "excitement is an understatement" and was counting down to seeing her sister, Lauren Carr, in five days.
The adventurous young Australian, who had a penchant for visiting beautiful waterways, documented her international travels on Instagram for months including to Greece, Alaska, Indonesia and the Caribbean.
She amassed tens of thousands of followers on the social media platform.
Her exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed and won't be announced until laboratory test results are known.
Greek coroner Ilias Bogiokas, who conducted the autopsy on Ms McNamara's body, told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency that the death "came about from a hanging" and her body did not have any injuries.
Ms McNamara was farewelled by hundreds on Saturday at Innes Gardens Memorial Park in Port Macquarie, and later Bonny Hills Surf Life Saving Club, with the dress code of "wear what Sinead would want you to wear".
"We all knew and loved her in different aspects of life so whether that's bright and fun, road trip attire, formal, surfy, boat attire or whatever it is that brought you and her together, that is what we would like you to wear," her brother, Jake McNamara, said in a public post on his Facebook page earlier this week.
Her family encouraged those unable to make it to "beautiful" Ms McNamara's "celebration of her life and farewell" to take a moment by their closest ocean at 1pm to remember special moments they shared with her.
Photos from the farewell show a large paddle-out of surfers under blue skies off nearby Rainbow Beach.
