POLICE have arrested and charged three men allegedly involved in supplying drugs in the Hamilton area.
Since March 2018, police attached to the Newcastle City Police District commenced Strike Force Waroon, targeting the supply of drugs in the area.
Following a lengthy investigation, about 9.40pm Thursday police arrested a 26-year-old man in Hamilton Street, Kahibah.
Police also stopped a car in Kenrick Street, Hamilton and arrested at 27-year-old man. Both men were taken to Newcastle Police Station.
Police executed two search warrants in Hamilton Street, Kahibah, and Wilson Street, Carrington, where it is alleged drugs including MDMA, cannabis, steroids, cocaine, LSD tablets, a BB gun, knuckle dusters and cash were located.
A third man was arrested at the Kahibah address after he was searched and police allegedly located MDMA capsules.
The 26-year-old Kahibah man was charged with seven counts of supply less than an indictable quantity of prohibited drug, 12 counts of supply indictable quantity of prohibited drug, two counts of supply more than a commercial quantity of prohibited drug, two counts of supply more than large quantity of commercial quantity of prohibited drug, three counts of possess prohibited drug and ongoing supply.
The 27-year-old Hamilton man was charged with six counts of supply more than an indictable quantity of prohibited drug, four counts of supply more than a commercial quantity of prohibited drug, three counts of supply more than a commercial quantity of prohibited drug, ongoing supply and deal in the proceeds of crime.
Both men were refused bail and will appear in Newcastle Local Court on Friday September 21.
The third man, aged 23, was charged with possess more than an indictable quantity of prohibited drug, deem supply prohibited drug, and possess prohibited drug.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Newcastle Local Court on October 8.
