BEACH WATCH

Surf looks like getting a pulse of swell for today and conditions to vary. Once again cleaner early before wind goes around to onshore. Tide to be filling to a late morning high. Swell from the S/E to South at 1.5 to 2m. Wind North to N/E freshening for the afternoon. Tides still shallow first up and few closeouts at times on the sets. Merewether, Pogos and South Bar the better options. Redhead, Frenchmans and North Catho to the south. Birubie up at Port Stephens. Shallow afternoon low. Few patrches of kelp about and waters slightly murky in. Bar Beach, Nobbys and Merewether are patrolled. Water temp 17C.
