REAL estate agent Mark Kentwell reckons walking through the Build for a Cure house at Medowie feels like walking through a property of reality television series The Block.
The PRD Nationwide Newcastle director is selling the home built last month by volunteer tradies and suppliers to raise money the Children’s Cancer Institute.
It will be auctioned on site at 1pm on Sunday.
“The level of standard and finish they’ve gone through with McDonald Jones Homes is next level,” he said.
“There’s about $150,000-$175,000 worth of upgrades off the base design they’ve loaded into this.

Mr Kentwell said the “hidden gem” would likely be bought by a growing family or a couple downsizing.
He said the The Bower estate was an appealing place to call home given how close it is to Port Stephens.
“It’s one of those estates, where unless you’ve been up there, you don’t know how nice of an atmosphere it is there at The Bower,” he said.
“McCloy [Group] do a really good job of their estates in making them feel like a community.”
