Last month, the Criminal Groups Squad's Strike Force Raptor commenced an investigation after receiving reports from NSW Fair Trading of a man allegedly committed fraud and intimidation offences, including alleged threats of violence from members of an OMCG, in the construction industry.

Following inquiries, it will be alleged the man had stolen items from a hardware store on Rodeo Road, Gregory Hills, in Sydney's south-west.

About 10.45pm on Wednesday October 10, Strike Force Raptor attended a unit complex in Fowler Street, Hamilton South.

A 48-year-old man, who purports to be a member of an OMCG, was arrested and taken to Newcastle Police Station.

The man was charged with 15 counts of drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, and two counts of larceny.

Police will allege the man drove his utility through several suburbs in Sydney’s south-west, including Gregory Hills, Denham Court, and Edmondson Park, despite being disqualified from driving until 2039.

The man was refused bail and appeared at Newcastle Local Court on Thursday, where he was refused bail to appear before the same court on Thursday October 18.

Investigations are continuing.
