A man allegedly used a pistol to rob a teenager of personal items, including some of his clothes, in a Newcastle suburb on Wednesday night.
Police are looking for the man – described as being between 20 and 30 years old, about 170cm tall with a slim build – who confronted the 15-year-old and his four friends in an alley near Waratah Oval between 8pm and 9pm.
The armed man, who was wearing a balaclava or ski mask and a grey jacket, threatened the teenager and demanded his jacket, hat, mobile phone and bag.
