After growing up on a farm in Yeoval in Central Western NSW, Paul Blowes along with his wife Christy have received amazing recognition for their efforts in the recent HIA Awards. Paul has worked in the building industry for 18 years and started PB Quality Constructions (PBQC) just over five years ago.
With the business entering the HIA Awards for the first time it was a great result for the business, being recognised as finalists in five categories including Custom Built Home (over $2 million), Renovation/Addition Project ($250,001 to $500,000), and Renovation/Addition Project (over $750,000), along with Bathroom of the Year (over $25,001).
The were rewarded with a win in the final category, Best Affordable Housing, with an architecturally designed granny flat that they built in Cooks Hill. Paul said the win provides great recognition not only to PBQC but to all the trades and other people involved with the granny flat and with all the other projects they were finalists for.
“It really is fantastic to get recognised for all of your hard work and effort. It was already a big morale booster for all the team finding out that we were finalists and to be able to come away with a win last Saturday night was amazing,” he said.
PBQC creates stunning architecturally designed homes, renovations and extensions throughout Newcastle and the Hunter Region, and also make custom made furniture for clients from new or recycled timber.
