Race organisers announced overnight that the group would include Newcastle in their three-year End of the World tour, which starts in Vancouver in January.
KISS, which currently consists of Gene Simmons, Eric Singer, Paul Stanley and Tommy Thayer, played at Newcastle Entertainment Centre in 2015 on their only previous visit to the city.
They will play at No.1 Sportsground on Saturday, November 23, 2019.

“This is an absolute coup for Newcastle and Supercars fans,” Supercars CEO Sean Seamer said.
“KISS is one of the world’s greatest rock bands. To have them play at our last event of the year, on their last tour, is big news.”
The band will perform seven dates in Australia.
Pre-sale tickets for the 2019 Supercars concert will be on sale at next month’s Newcastle 500 from Ticketek box offices inside the track.

Tickets go on public sale at 9am on Monday, November 26, from ticketek.com.
Meanwhile, Newcastle City Council will host business and community leaders at a Fort Scratchley fundraising event for White Ribbon Day on the Saturday of this year’s race.
The function will support the council’s charity partner, Got Your Back Sista, which helps women and children fleeing domestic violence.
The fort is available for hire on the Friday and Sunday of the Supercars weekend.
