That is the question Newcastle City Council is asking as it puts exclusive use of Fort Scratchley up for grabs for two days of the Newcastle 500.
Hiring the entire site, or booking a group hospitality package, can be made for the Friday and Sunday of the Supercars weekend.
It could be an early Christmas party for up to 300 workers or a package for a small crew.
You’ll be treated to a bird’s-eye view of the track hairpin and Nobbys Road from a marquee on the fort’s parade ground.

Live TV screens on site will also ensure you don’t miss a second of the action.
With Nobbys Beach just a stroll away, a pre or post-event swim is an option too.
Few could argue there are many better seats around the street circuit than on top of the former military establishment.
And the big one, all food and drinks are provided by Blue Star Catering.
The exclusive use package includes:
- General Admission ticket
- Event from 12pm to 4pm
- 4-hour standard beverage package
- 2 ½-hour canape menu
- Furnished marquee up high on the parade grounds for up to 300 people
For exclusive marquee hire for up to 300 guests, it will cost $320 a head on the Friday or $360 a head on the Sunday.
Group hospitality packages can be discussed with Newcastle Venues on 4974 2166.
POTENTIAL KNIGHTS OWNER MISSES G-STRING MOMENT
Billionaire businessman and former potential Newcastle Knights owner Marwan Koukash promised a one-of-a-kind celebration if his horse Magic Circle won the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, saying he would strip down to his G-string to receive the trophy.
“When we win on Tuesday no one is going to stop me providing Flemington with the most colourful celebrations they’ve ever had,” Koukash in the days before the race.
“I’m going to take my clothes off – I’ll keep my tie, my thong and my socks and shoes – and I will get up and receive the trophy.

- Marwan Koukash.
“I know they are going to employ security to try to stop me but I know how to evade them and I’m going to deliver.”
Koukash, who has a sizeable interest in horse racing, believed Magic Circle was his best chance of winning a Melbourne Cup.
But the flamboyant declaration never came to fruition after Magic Circle failed to fire, finishing a lowly 16th.
Palestine-born Koukash, who lives in Manchester and recently offloaded his ownership of the Salford Red Devils rugby league club in the Super League, was once a potential Knights owner when the club was in the NRL’s hands.
His interest in buying an NRL club was understood to have been genuine at the time but never eventuated.
While Koukash may have splashed the cash had he bought the club, Topics reckons Newcastle is far better off with the Knights owned by the Wests Group.
