BEACH WATCH

Strong onshore winds to develop early in the morning. Surf conditions to be choppy on a rising swell. Best to try the protected southern corners and south facing reefs. Swell from the S/E to South at 1.5 to 2m. Winds S/W to south easing by late afternoon. Bigger morning incoming tide may cause some erosion. First up try Nobbys and Merewether. Flatrock on the high tide. Stockton and One Mile up at Port Stephens. Dudley and South Catho further down the coast. Sweeps to develop running to the north and dangerous on the rocks. Check the flagged areas to determine if going in for a swim. Water temp 18C.. – Dave Anderson
