The City of Newcastle Carols by Candlelight will be presented by the Newcastle Herald and Newcastle Permanent on the Friday evening.
Families and friends, young and old, are invited to enjoy the Christmas community spirit on a warm summer evening in Newcastle.
At 7pm there will be an official opening by the Lord Mayor followed by a strong cast of local talent, featuring the all-female vocal quartet Bella Voce and The Hunter Singers.
There will even be a special guest appearance by Santa, free carnival rides from 5.30pm, food vans and more.
All proceeds will go to supporting the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Appeal.
There will also be a free shuttle from King Street car park.
