Scott Ferris has listed a home he believes can raise the bar for Mayfield’s exclusive Carrington Street as well as the suburb.
The One Agency agent is marketing a renovated 1910 residence on a deep block at 55 Carrington Street.
A price guide has not been set but a renovated home at No.47 broke the million-dollar mark for Carrington Street when it sold in February of this year for $1.025 million.
There’s not many blocks in Mayfield now where you get over 800 square metres, so that’s one of the attractions.

Mr Ferris described No.55 as “the most impressive property I have seen in Mayfield”.
“It’s 809 square metres and there’s not many blocks in Mayfield now where you get over 800 square metres, so that’s one of the attractions,” he said.
“It’s bordering Mayfield East, so it’s getting closer to town as well. It’s a wide street with a lot of higher end properties as well.
“It’s deceiving from the road. It has 20-foot ceilings and everyone who has walked in so far can’t believe it because you don’t really sense it from looking at the front of house picture.”

The home fuses period features with contemporary style.
There are generous bedrooms, spacious, tiered living, outdoor entertaining and a studio with its own alfresco area and work shed at the rear of the property.
It is located close to Mayfield Pool, schools, shops and parks.
It is set for auction on December 1.
