THE wild weather continues to wreak havoc on the region’s transport routes.
There are closures on the Central Coast and Newcastle train line.
No trains are running between Gosford and Hornsby due to a fallen tree on the line at Hawkesbury River.
Buses have been ordered, but at 2pm were yet to arrive.
Passengers are encouraged to delay their trip or allow plenty of extra travel time, listen to announcements and check indicator boards.
The delays come at the same time the first flight out of Newcastle Airport to Auckland was significantly delayed due weather and the nearby bushfire at Salt Ash.
The line closure will no doubt impact commuters heading to the Newcastle 500, which is on in the city this weekend.
