The spruced-up facility will feature a netted swimming area that is 70m long and 45m wide, replacing the public swimming facility that was damaged beyond repair in the April, 2015, super storm.
The baths, in in Brooks Parade, will officially reopen for a free community celebration scheduled to start at 10am on Saturday, which will feature live music, inflatable toy races and a sausage sizzle.

“This is the perfect time of year for Belmont Baths to reopen,” Lake Macquarie mayor Kay Fraser said.
“With lake water quality the best it has been for decades, these baths will provide a place for the community to enjoy one of our great natural assets.”
The new-look baths also include a 70m-long jetty, with netting around all four sides.
