The 19-year-old NSW representative, who is currently playing T20 for the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League, was named in the 11-man team on Wednesday.
Sangha will join recalled Test squad batsman Joe Burns and Matt Renshaw as well as bolter Will Pucovski at Blundstone Arena for the three-day, pink-ball fixture from January 17.
Also in the CA XI are: current Australian Test all-rounder Marnus Labuschagne, former Australian Test spinner Jon Holland and paceman Chris Tremain, who was recently part of the Australian Test squad but didn’t play during the Indian series.
Kurtis Patterson, Scott Boland, Jake Doran and Michael Neser round out the latest CA XI.
Right-handed Sangha has scored 408 runs at an average of 31.38 in his eight first-class appearances, including centuries for the CAXI against England last season and for NSW in the Sheffield Shield in November.
The former Wallsend first grader and Hunter Sports High School student opened his BBL career with an unbeaten 63 against the Melbourne Stars in Canberra last month, but hasn’t gone past 10 in five innings since.
Upcoming Tests against Sri Lanka in Brisbane and Canberra will be the last for Australia before the Ashes in England from August 1.
