The boutique Hunter Valley festival announced they have banned the controversial rental vans, which are often emblazoned with lewd and offensive slogans and imagery towards women, from entering their grounds.
The ban will include all Wicked vans, not just ones plastered with offensive material.
“For years we’ve had concerns about any Wicked campers turning up at the festival with some of their pathetically unfunny and misogynistic slogans splattered across its panels,” Wollombi Music Festival organisers said in a statement.
“We’ve actively discouraged people from hiring them and encouraged patrons to look elsewhere, but this year we’ve decided to ban them full-stop.”
In 2016 Byron Bay’s Splendour In The Grass were the first major music festival to publicly discourage their patrons from using Wicked vans.
Tickets are currently on sale for the 10th Wollombi Music Festival, which runs from September 27 to 29.
