Peter, a plumber by trade, bought the large parcel of land then relocated a section of a Rutherford home and transformed it into a four-bedroom residence. It enjoys being positioned not too far from anything but has a retreat-like feeling of being well away from it all.
“It was a great place for kids to grow up,” Peter said. “My two boys grew up there and played all around the yard. We had flying floxes, zip lines and treehouses.”
It is rare to find a block that size in the middle of suburbia but the property at 83b Jubilee Road has another unique feature in a creek running through it which is lined by flame trees.

The four-bedroom has a wraparound verandah and is surrounded by landscaped grounds. There is a circular driveway and a double garage plus enclosed carport and workshop.
It is being marketed by Dalton Partners’ John Kerr with a price guide of $690,000 to $750,000.
“You’re so close to town but you’re set back from the road and it’s a really tranquil property,” Mr Kerr said.
“It’s a pretty special sort of place.”
It is open for inspection on Saturday at 1.30pm.
