Between February 4 and March 15 pilots and aircrew will practice flying in all conditions across urban and rural areas.
This routine training is designed to provide a realistic test of skills needed in emergency response scenarios.
Flights will occur during the afternoon and evening, generally concluding by 11.30 pm. Some flight paths may be low and as a consequence, unavoidable noise may be noticeable for short periods. Residents should not be concerned if they hear or see these activities occurring.
The Australian Defence Force released a statement which said every effort to minimise the disruption to local residents and businesses would be made. This includes rotating training between different states and areas, and wherever possible, using training venues only once during the training period.
The training poses no danger to the public.
