On Monday police released a photograph and description of a 49-year-old man known to frequent the Central Coast, Coffs Harbour and the Hunter Region.
The man was believed to be travelling on a red 2010 Honda motorcycle. Police asked the public for any information about his whereabouts.
About midnight police were called to an address at Wamberal on the Central Coast where they arrested the 49-year-old man.
He is being questioned by officers from Brisbane Water Local Area Command and is expected to be charged later today.
